In November 2006 the new Board came together for the first time in an official capacity at a Board Retreat which took place in Trinidad and Tobago . The retreat comprised a combination of workshops and meetings during which Board Members were able to explore issues of leadership in the context of an NGO, “teaming for leading,” and strategic planning. They also discussed operational matters and took decisions with respect to same. The Board retreat, though intensive and exhaustive, served to renew the commitment of the Board Members to their tasks ahead and refocus their vision on the future of CRN+.
